the reception of j&b

These two were married a couple of months ago in Connecticut because it's not yet legal for them to marry here in Maryland. However, they chose to celebrate their union with a gorgeous, perfectly detailed reception at the Hyatt in Cambridge, Maryland. It's a lovely space, they staff was perfect, and everything was simply lovely. I felt incredibly privileged to be able to take the photos; these two are good friends of ours, so I wasn't just a photographer, I was also a guest. Only their nearest and dearest were present, and the whole event was a glorious celebration of a couple that's been together for 11 years.


Before the reception started, we took family photos with their adopted son.












We all loved this sign. 








The suite was gorgeous. 


T is a total rockstar. And a ham. He loved mugging for the camera.
